Soap cake.

In this article, Happy New Year soap will be presented to you. Here you will see a photo of it, as well as instructions for creating it. This soap is incredibly easy to create. But to make it you should use:

  • Soap base: white and transparent,
  • Dyes: red and brown,
  • Essential oil or shock absorber,
  • Alcohol spray and mold.

Progress:

  1. First of all, the bottom part of the soap is made. It’s worth noting right away that your soap will resemble a cake in appearance. Basically, the clear base is cut into squares and then put in the microwave so that it can melt.
  2. Then add dye and pour into the mold. As a result, you will get a layer. This layer will be your crust.
  3. Using the same principle, make a “powder”. Only in this case the layer should have two layers: red and white. When it hardens, cut it finely. And between layers, make roughness with a toothpick. Such layers will serve for strong adhesion.
  4. A straightened white base is poured onto the brown layer on top. While your layer has not hardened, sprinkle it with powder, which you will have in two layers.
  5. The next step is to sprinkle your soap with alcohol or vodka. After which the soap is sent to harden completely.

Cut your soap however you like. Maybe it will be: triangles or squares.

New Year's soap.

The second option for creating soap is also not very complicated. But here you will use a regular herringbone shape. This form can be purchased or found in children's art kits. In addition to the form, you will need:

  • Soap base: transparent and white,
  • Rectangular shape,
  • Fragrance or any essential oil,
  • Spray with vodka or alcohol.

Progress:

  1. First, a Christmas tree is made. Therefore, melt the white base in a small amount and pour it into the mold. Your piece should cool completely.
  2. After which it is transferred to a rectangular shape.
  3. Now melt the base without color - that is, transparent. Add flavoring and dye to it afterwards.
  4. Then a Christmas tree made from a white base is filled with this composition.
  5. All that remains is to sprinkle the finished soap with alcohol and let the soap cool.

As you can see, everything is simple here. Ingredients for soap making are not easy to find in stores in your city. But it’s easy to find a way out of the situation. All ingredients must be purchased from the online store.

Especially when it comes to the bright winter holiday called New Year! Hurry to please yourself and your loved ones! The smiles of dear people and your own good mood are guaranteed. Handmade New Year's soap is often found at Christmas markets. It seems that the masters are real wizards, it is so beautiful. In fact, repeating their success at home and making New Year's soap with your own hands from scratch is not so difficult. The most important thing is the correct choice of components and a suitable mold.

Today we will talk about the intricacies and step-by-step stages of making soap. In addition, let's watch several educational videos on soap making for the New Year. There is also a selection of ideas for inspiration waiting for you.

What do we need?

A standard set for creating New Year's soap looks like this:

  • soap base;
  • base oil;
  • essential oil or fragrance;
  • dye;
  • mold;
  • dry glitter.

We have already told you how to make natural soap from ordinary baby soap. If you don’t have a soap base or a ready-made set, use this master class - it will help you out.

Filler selection

As a filler for homemade New Year's soap, you should not take something standard like coffee, herbs or oatmeal. Otherwise, the texture of the figure will be blurred. It is better to refuse to use large scrubbing particles and stick only to base and essential oils.

The best base would be shea butter, argan oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil or even olive oil. In a word, anything that can be called basic and used for cosmetic purposes.

Choosing a New Year's scent

Never use eau de toilette as a flavoring agent for soap! Its smell can change dramatically, and contact with certain substances can cause a reaction that the skin does not like. It is best to take essential oils.

Good New Year's combinations for scenting handmade soap:

  • lemon and ginger (you can add honey to this soap);
  • orange and cloves;
  • juniper and lavender;
  • sweet orange and tea tree;
  • orange and star anise;
  • orange and cinnamon;
  • vanilla and lemon;
  • spruce (fir) and orange.

You shouldn’t use too much oil, otherwise your homemade New Year’s soap will turn out too fragrant.

Soap for the New Year in the shape of a tangerine. It needs to be done using a special mold (similar to the master class with a snowman).

The soap making process is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. This process is very exciting and requires attention, since you will have to deal with many, perhaps even unfamiliar, components. In fact, there is nothing complicated, so anyone can make soap with their own hands.

People began making soap in ancient times. The discoverers of this wonderful craft were the Sumerians. Of course, in one of the first civilizations on Earth there was nothing exotic in the process of making soap. They mixed the ash with boiling water, and then added any animal fat. Modern needlewomen are much more inventive. If you want to start doing this business, then from this article you will learn what you will need.

At the initial stage, it is worth purchasing all the “tools” necessary for soap making, such as:

  • Utensils for melting soap. This can be either a heat-resistant container, plastic or glass. The choice of utensils should be based on the conditions under which you will prepare the soap. If you use a stove, you should pay attention to heat-resistant cookware. If you have to work with a microwave oven, then glass or plastic is ideal for this. Also, the dishes should be comfortable so that it is easy to work with melted butter when you start pouring it into special forms.
  • Silicone molds for soap. There are many different shapes and sizes. From ordinary geometric shapes to a variety of animals and flowers. The choice of form depends on what type of soap you want to achieve in the end.
  • Special accessories that you will use exclusively for making soap . If you are planning to get serious about soap making, then you will constantly need tools such as silicone tools (spoons, spatulas, cutters). Don't assume that you can use the kitchen utensils you use to cook.
  • You will also need scales, water thermometer, mixer or blender, to speed up the process of whipping soap (in case of cooking from scratch).

Everything you need can be found in specialized stores or on Internet sites. When you have replenished your inventory, you can select the components necessary for soap making:

  • Soap base. This can be either a special transparent, odorless soap or regular baby soap. From this you, with the help of melting, will create the basis for your future masterpieces.
  • Basic vegetable oil without a strong odor . Use oils that will make your soap as beneficial as possible.
  • Essential oils. They give the soap an individual aroma. When using essential oils, it is worth taking into account the type of skin for which this or that soap will be intended. Ylang-ylang is suitable for sensitive skin, avocado or coconut oil for dry skin, and tea tree or aloe oil for problematic skin.
  • Dyes. A component is needed to give the soap the desired color. You can use both natural dyes (juices, herbs) and food dyes.
  • Natural supplements. To give your soap a personal touch, you can use various additives. For example, it can be chocolate, cinnamon sticks, dried flowers, coffee beans, dried fruit slices, oatmeal, herbs and much more.
  • Alcohol. You will need it to spray the molds before pouring the melted soap and to prevent bubbles from appearing on it. It is most convenient to use a spray bottle.

After all the preparations and purchasing the necessary ingredients, you can start making soap.

So, let's move on to our somewhat magical process of transforming an ordinary bar of soap into a work of art:

  • First, let's take our soap base and grind it on a fine grater.
  • Place the resulting shavings in a special container and place in a steam bath or microwave.
  • Melt the mixture over low heat, not letting it boil to prevent bubbles from forming.
  • Next, add a little vegetable oil to the already melted base.
  • Remove the dishes from the heat and add a few drops of essential oil, dye and additives, if any.
  • Mix all this well. Spray the molds with alcohol and carefully pour our soap into them.
  • We wait for the soap to harden (this can take from 20 minutes to several hours), after which we take it out of the molds and send it to dry.

On average, after 2-3 days, your soap will be completely ready for use.

Handmade soap step by step from scratch

Making soap from scratch at home is more than a hobby. After all, such soap does not harm your health at all and does not cause any allergic reactions. The process of making such soap consists of alkali, oil and liquid (for example, distilled water, herbal tea, coffee, milk).

In order to start the soap making process from scratch you will need:

  • Alkali . It is necessary to use a substance of the highest degree of purification, because it is precisely this alkali that can cause fats to begin to lather.
  • Liquid . You can use plain water, warm milk, or even freshly squeezed fruit or vegetable juice as a basis. Keep in mind that the color of the finished soap will depend on the base you choose. If you decide to make soap in coffee broth, then most likely it will turn brown or beige (if you add cream or milk to the coffee).
  • Oils . Another basic ingredient for making soap from scratch. The oil you choose will affect the performance of the soap itself. For example, hardness, cleansing and moisturizing qualities, and much more. It is possible to use both vegetable and animal fats.
  • Supplements . These components do not have any effect on the properties of soap and its appearance. This can be salt or coffee grounds (which will give the soap a scrub effect), dyes, essential oils, flowers and plant leaves, etc.

When making soap from scratch at home, you must follow the following precautions:

  • Firstly, throughout the entire work you should wear gloves to avoid contact with the skin of alkali or uncured soap mass. It is also advisable to wear a long robe and a respirator mask to avoid inhaling harmful fumes.
  • Secondly, Cover and secure the work area. Avoid contact with the table or any objects used for eating food.
  • Third, Upon completion of work, cleaning must also be done with gloves.

Do not use soap making utensils for food!

After taking all precautions, you can begin the process of making soap from scratch.

Ingredients:

  • Base oils (1/2 tsp each of 3 different oils);
  • Lye (on the tip of a knife);
  • Water (1 glass);
  • Dyes, flavors (2-3 drops each);
  • Useful additives (the amount should be moderate - 10-15 g if the product is dry, 5 drops if it is liquid).

Tools:

  • Gloves
  • Goggles, respirator
  • Form
  • Spoons, knife
  • Container for mixing components

Equipment:

  • Plate
  • Blender
  • Thermometer
  • Pan, sauna pan

Soap making technology:

  1. Cover the work surface with a tablecloth or film. We put on protective clothing.
  2. We measure vegetable oils on the scales. Melt in a steam bath.
  3. Weigh the water in a heat-resistant container. Add pre-weighed alkali to it and carefully introduce it into the water, stirring constantly.
  4. After weighing the liquid oils, add them to the melted mass. Cool to a temperature of 40-60 degrees.
  5. Add the alkaline solution to the prepared oils. Beat with a blender until traces appear.
  6. Next, add essential oils, dyes and other useful additives. Mix the resulting mass with a blender or spoon.
